· Call to order
Chairperson Teresa VonCannon opened the meeting and welcomed everyone. Group introductions were made.
· Motion was made and accepted to accept the November minutes, some corrections were made.
· Steve Nichols was not present, however Teresa VonCannon gave the treasurers report in his absence. Motion was made and accepted to accept the treasurers report.
· Report is as follows: Balance as of 12/31/06, $15,271.41
· Scholarship committee, Chaired by Bill Deal to bring back items to be voted on at next meeting.
· The above mentioned subcommittee is as follows:

· The committee also presented a form to be used by a local UCC to request funds to aide with travel and expenses to attend a NCUCC meeting. Some discussion took place in regards to how much $$ and how often it could be utilized and how to manage/track the process. We will discuss further at next meeting.
· New Business
· Plan meeting schedule for 2007, as follows:
o March13, 2007 - Raleigh, PSNC Energy will host. (10:00 AM)
o May- Joint conference Myrtle Beach, SCUCC will host
· May 2, 3, 4 Hilton Kingston Plantation
· Golf Wednesday, social Wed. night
· Conference Thursday and Friday
· Luau Thursday night (costume party)
o July- Hickory, Duke Energy will host
o September- Wilmington, Piedmont will host
o November- Asheville, Local UCC will host
· There was a discussion about joining the NC and SCUCC together for the purpose of the joint conference. The states would continue to alternate locations. Some questions that were unanswered were:
1. Do we combine financially?
2. Do we combine as committee members?

NCDOT- New Traffic Control Requirements go into effect July 08, Merideth McDermit is the contact person.
511 is good information 24/7 bad weather, delays, construction projects
NC 1-Call- Mission is Damage Prevention
Mapping database will change to the Newton System.
Titles change from Marketing Representatives to Member Liasons.
Doc Asbury new Member Liason for NC 1-Call
275 members using Positive Response. Translates to 62%
NC 1-Call presentation of Positive Response, can call 1-877-632-5050 for updates and information on tickets.
811 80-85% implemented.
Updated Website
NCOCC will sponsor tailgate safety meetings.
WEBTMS is the ticket management system purchased by NC 1-Call for the members to use, for more information contact Leslie Brady at the center.
New ticket numbering system in place.
Stand up signs for yards, subdivision entrances NCOCC will provide if needed or can sponsor for $6.00 each.
Railroads- None were present, keep crossing agreements in mind, they have an expiration date.
Power Companies- House moving projects in Raleigh are challenging.
Gas and Gas pipeline Co.-
Colonial Pipeline- All crossings require an onsite inspector.
Piedmont NG, Electronic Meter Reading 698,000 completed in NC.
A few left in SC and Tennessee.
Cable and Telecom Co.-
Time Warner, merger complete, updating facilities in 2008 across state.
Contractors- House Movers Association, buildings have been moved since 1800’s
Movers get permits, trying to tighten up current laws and regulations.
Using NJUNS system to coordinate efforts.

Wake Co. Jan. 30 is the first annual meeting.
Cataret Co. Great participation, good comments on meetings
Foothills, Awareness meeting breakfast 4/3/07 7:30 AM Ryans Steak House in Gastonia NC.
Stanley, Cabarrus, Rowan planning awareness luncheon.
· Presentation: Lesley Brady did a presentation on the Newton System, the new Web Ticket Entry system with NCOCC.
