May 9, 2002
1.            Continental Breakfast & Registration from 7:30 AM – 9:00 AM
 
2.                  Opening Session at 9:00 AM – the conference was called to order by Keith Reid, NCUCC president. We had visitors to lead us into the pledge of allegiance and discuss correct flag etiquette. Keith introduced the vendors present at the conference.
 
3.                  Speakers and their topics:
a.                  Bob Kipp, Executive Director - Common Ground Alliance
b.                  Mike Roberts, Dominion Virginia Power - National Joint Utilities Notification System
c.                  Ron Weathers, City of Charlotte - 120” Water Main Project
d.                  Corey Potter, Ditch Witch - Damage Reduction Strategies for Horizontal Directional Drilling
e.                  Al Allison, Allison Fence Company - Underground Damage Prevention Plan That Works
 
4.                  During the day we had drawings for door prizes. Keith also awarded prizes for the winning golf teams. We had dinner at Deer Park Restaurant on the Biltmore Estate around 6:30 and some of the attendees toured the Biltmore House after dinner.

6.                 The City of Charlotte will host our next NCUCC meeting July 9, 2002 at 10:00 AM.
